Kollywood actor Karthi is ready to entertain the viewers with his Tamil action-drama Viruman after another action thriller of 2021, Sulthan, which was directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan.
Karthi, the youngest son of veteran actor Sivakumar and the younger brother of Kollywood megastar and Jai Bhim fame actor Suriya will be seen on screens after a year-long period.
Karthi is best known for his 2019 film Kaithi, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj which was a critically acclaimed action drama with grossing over Rs 105 crore at Box Office worldwide.
For his brilliant work in the film, Karthi was also conferred with the Best Actor (Male) Award at Norway Tamil Film Festival for this movie.
Now the actor will be back with his highly-anticipated action drama which will be made under the production house of his brother and actor Suriya.

Viruman Released Date
There is now official announcement from the makers, regarding the release date of this village-based action thriller drama, mark the date ’12th August 2022′.

Viruman Star Cast
Along with male lead Karthi, Aditi Shankar will also be seen playing the female lead role, who is the younger daughter of Kollywood filmmaker S. Shankar.
Apart from the lead star cast, the film will also feature versatile actor Prakash Raj along with Soori, Rajkiran and Myna Nandini in pivotal roles.
Viruman Makers
The film is going to be helmed by director Muthaiah, who also wrote its screenplay while it is bankrolled by Suriya and his wife and actress Jyothika under the banner of their own production house 2D Entertainment.
The production house also acquired the distribution rights of the film.
If we talk about the cinematography of the film, it will be handled by Selvakumar S.K. and Yuvan Shankar Raja is going to compose the music.
Viruman First Look Poster
Actors Karthi and Suriya dropped the first look poster of the movie on Jan 14, 2022 on the occasion of Pongal with “Happy Pongal” inscribed on it.
The poster of the film looks very promising as Karthi was seen sitting on rocks with intense and aggressive looks on his face, and holding a Javelin like thing on his hands.
The shooting/filming of the movie began on September 17, 2021, and wrapped up after 3 months on December 22, 2021.
