Directed by M. Padmakumar, Visithiran is an upcoming Tamil Police crime drama film. It is the Tamil remake of the director’s 2018 Malayalam film Joseph, starring Joju George, Dileesh Pothan, Irshad, Athmiya Rajan and others.Director-screenwriter John Mahendran was cast to write the dialogues for the original script of Shahi Kabir.
Popular Tamil filmmaker Bala, who recently made headlines due to his divorce with wife Muthumalar, has produced the film under his B Studios in association with Siva Sekar Kilari’s Shark Pictures. M. Senthil Kumar is the executive producer and Mayapandi is taking care of the art department.
If we talk about technical work, Vetrivel Mahendran has served as the director of photography and Sathish Suriya has edited the film. Music and score is composed by G.V. Prakash, who is the nephew of music maestro A.R. Rahman.
Visithiran Star Cast
The producer-turned-actor and “Thaarai Thappattai” fame R.K. Suresh was cast to play the titular role. He will be reprising the role of Joju George from the Malayalam film. Suresh was last seen in S. Jai Shankar directorial action drama film Vettai Naai.
For Visithiran, the actor worked really hard to fit in the role he was given. First of all,he increased his weight by 22 Kgs and then shed weight for his young appearance. He has also given three different voices for the dubbing in the film.
Actresses Poorna and Madhu Shalini were cast to reprise the role of Athmiya Rajan and Madhuri Braganza respectively. Malayalam actor Anil Murali reprises his role in the original. The film also stars Bagavathi Perumal, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, G. Marimuthu and JP in key roles.
Visithiran Release Date
The film was earlier supposed to release in 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it couldn’t go as per plan. Now, the official released date has been confirmed by its makers. This crime action thriller has to theater release on May 6, 2022.

The teaser of the movie looks intriguing and it does not reveal much about the movie. It shows a series of cold blooded murders happening n the city. R.K. Suresh is playing a retired Police officer who has unique and sharp investigation skills and he is the one who is investigating the mystery and suspense behind those murders.
