Recently, the third installment of the 1990s blockbuster hit musical romantic drama film Aashiqui has been announced. The upcoming film Aashiqui 3 was announced on Monday, September 5 via a title motion poster.
Actor Kartik Aryan, who is basking in the immense success of his latest release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, has recently shared a picture with the popular names of Bollywood- Anurag Basu, Mukesh Bhatt, Bhushan Kumar and Pritam.
Right after that he shared the announcement teaser of Aashiqui 3 stating that he will be the male lead in the film, which is going to be directed by Bollywood’s popular filmmaker Anurag Basu. Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series Films will back the film whereas Pritam will compose its music.

Ever since Kartik Aryan has updated on social media, his fans got excited and started trending his name as well as his upcoming movie on twitter. Now, as the lead actors have been decided, everyone is eager to know with whom he will be seen romancing in the film.
Hours after the news was shared online, netizens took to twitter and started suggesting the names of their favorite actresses for the lead role in the film and interestingly, most of them voted for actress Shehnaaz Gill while some suggest that Aashiqui 2 actress Shraddha Kapoor should return as the female lead in the upcoming film.

Aashiqui is a superhit musical romantic saga which released its first installment “Aashiqui” in August 1990 with Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal playing the lead actors. It received rave response and emerged as a commercial success.
In 2013, the sequel of the film “Aashiqui 2”, a sequel to the first film with a completely different theme was released. It was directed by Mohit Suri with Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor playing the lead role. The film received critical acclaim and emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of that year. The sound track of the film also became very popular, the songs topped the charts across various platforms.
