Appu’s film Gandhada Gudi is ruling the box office in the home market Karnataka, so much so that it has outdone the daily earnings of the smash hit Kantara in the state.
It is directed by the national award filmmaker Amoghavarsha JD who also features in the film along with Puneeth and the producer Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar. It is made under the banner of PRK Production and Mudskipper.

Will Cross 20 Cr Domestically Today
The small film after a fantastic first weekend is doing very well on the weekdays. It has shown humungous growth in its earnings on Day 5. It is estimated to collect over 4 crores on its 1st Tue, which is a over 137% rise as compared to the prior day.
With this, the total earnings of “Gandhada Gudi” reached a little below the 20 crore mark. And going by the early reports, it has crossed the 20 crore nett mark on Day 6 (Wed).

Gandhada Gudi had witnessed huge advance bookings on the fifth day, it clocked in Rs 1.24 crores on Tue which was almost 4fold to the advance bookings of day 4. The advance bookings on Wednesday are stable albeit on the lower side, it draws in Rs 16L for day 6 from pre-sales.

As per the early trade estimations, it earns a little below 1 crore on Wed making the total domestic collections over 20 crores nett. Appu’s film will next target the 25 crore mark and end its run with 28-30 crore nett.
GG was out in theatres in three languages English, Hindi and Kannada. Karnataka govt has made the film tax-free in the state, it was released on 250 screens in the home market. GG is said to be made with a budget of 10-12 crores.
