Indian Weightlifters are shining in the commonwealth Games and till now India has won 6 medals in total 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze. Weightlifter Achinta Sheuli, weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga, weightlifter Mirabai Chanu , Bindyarani Devi, Sanket Mahadev Sargar, Gururaj Poojary have won medals and have given extraordinary performances.

Day 2 of Commonwealth Games
On the day 2 of commonwealth Games Ace weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu bagged 1st gold for India in Commonwealth Games 2022 in the Women’s 49 Kg weightlifting category and Sanket Mahadev Sargar and Bindyarani Devi both won silver medal for India in 55 kg Women’s category and the 55 Kg weight category with a total of 248 Kg for Men. Gururaj Poojary won a bronze medal in the Men’s 61 Kg weight category by lifting a total of 269 Kg.

Day 3 of Commonwealth Games:
On the third day of commonwealth Games two debutants Achinta Sheuli who is 20 years old won gold medal for India in 73 kg categaory and Jeremy Lalrinnunga who is 19 years old also won Gold medal for India in 67 kg category.
Jeremy also won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Championships in Tashkent last year in the Men’s 67kg category.

All in all the Indian team is performing amazing so far and for day 4 everybody is eyeing on Ajay Singh who is all set to compete now in the weightlifting men’s 81kg final. And the Indian Badminton team is also giving a tough fight for gold, whereas, the Indian Hockey team is also giving a tough fight.
