Hailing from the small district of Madhubani in Bihar, Gautam Kumar Jha is due to become the third millionaire of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 11’. Gautam Kumar Jha worked as a senior section engineer with the Indian Railways before shooting to fame with Kaun Banega Crorepati.
The 11th season of superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ has found his third winner of KBC 2019, a whopping amount of Rs 1 crore. The episode aired on Sony TV Entertainment on Monday and Tuesday that showed him winning a sum of Rs 1 crore.
However, Gautam quit before answering the 16th question worth Rs 7 crore. The short promo video shared by Sony entertainment television’s Instagram shows that Gautam Kumar Jha is quite ecstatic to have reached the ‘almost final stage’ of the iconic show of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 11’. He is also seen crediting his wife for pushing him to take a leap of faith and try for the game of KBC.
Who is Gautam Kumar Jha?
Gautam Kumar Jha holds an M.Tech degree from ISM Dhanbad. The winner scored himself an undergraduate degree from IIT to become the Senior Engineer in the Indian Railways, Adra (West Bengal). Prior to joining the railways, Gautam worked as a Bank Manager with Canara Bank.
Gautam Kumar Jha is originally from Gangdwar district where he resides happily with wife and parents. Gautam Kumar is the son of renowned advocate Arvind Kumar Jha from Madhubani, Bihar. Apparently, Gautam Kumar Jha’s father-in-law is also a respectable professor in the Maithali Department of JN College, Madhubani.
Talking about Gautam’s family, mother Sudhira Jha and father Arvind Jha are proud parents of the KBC 11’s third winner.

The currently running season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ has had two clear millionaires who answered 15 questions right to win Rs 1 crore each. The winners include Bihar’s Sanoj Raj and Maharashtra’s Babita Taide. Sanoj Raj, too quit at 16th question because he wasn’t too sure of the answer. When guessed, he got the answer right. Surprisingly, Babita Taide who works as a mid-day meal cook also took home Rs 1 crore after getting 15 questions right.
