UG Courses in DU After 12th (Without Mathematics )
Delhi University UG courses without Math’s are as follows:
B.Com
The candidate can go for a 3 year UG degree course in B.Com. The admission to this course is based on merit in the qualifying exam.
Eligibility:
An aggregate of 40% marks or more in English/Hindi and a combination of the best three from the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Economics
- Accountancy
- Business studies/commerce.
Eligibility:
- Candidates have to appear in the DU JAT exam
- Candidate must obtain at least 60% aggregate marks in class 12th.
- Candidate must have English as a compulsory subject, along with any three elective subjects.
B.VOC. (HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT)
Bachelor of vocation in health care management is a professional UG degree course offered by DU and its affiliated colleges.
The admission to this course is based on merit in the qualifying examination.
Eligibility:
- An aggregate of 40% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examinations.
- Merit will be calculated based on the following:
◦ One language (English or Hindi) (Core/ Elective/ Functional)
◦ Any three elective subjects as specified in List A and List B in the DU Admission bulletin.
B.VOC. (RETAIL MANAGEMENT AND IT)
Candidates can pursue this UG degree course in B.Voc. (Retail Management and IT).
Eligibility:
- An aggregate of 40% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examinations.
- Merit will be based on one language subject either English or Hindi, and any 3 elective subjects as given in the DU admission bulletin.
BA (HONS) ENGLISH
Candidates can pursue 3 year BA (Hons) in English. For this UG degree course, you are not required to have mathematics in class 12th.
Eligibility:
- An Aggregate of 45% in qualifying examination.
- The candidate must have studied English in the qualifying examination
- The merit for admission will be determined from the best four subjects, including English and any three elective subjects.
BA (HONS) HINDI
Candidates can pursue 3 year BA (Hons) in Hindi. The eligibility for this course is given below:
Eligibility:
- An Aggregate of 45% in qualifying examination.
- The candidate must have studied Hindi in the qualifying examination
- The merit for admission will be determined from the best four subjects, including Hindi and any three elective subjects.
BA HONS (HUMANITIES & SOCIAL SCIENCES)
A 3 year UG degree course can be pursued in BA Hons with specialization in humanities & social sciences. The selection to this course is done according to the merit list prepared on the basis of the marks secured in the entrance test.
Eligibility:
An aggregate of 60% or more marks in four subjects in the qualifying examination.
Entrance Test:
- The Entrance Test will be based on General Awareness, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Communication skills (English/ Hindi), Logical Reasoning, and Analytical Ability at 10+2 levels.
- Questions will be asked both in English and Hindi.
B.A. (HONS.) IN MULTIMEDIA & MASS COMMUNICATION
The admission to this course is based on the entrance test named DUET conducted by NTA.
Eligibility:
- An aggregate of 75% or more marks in the “Best Four” (including 85% or more Arts (Hons.) in English) in the qualifying examination.
- Candidate may include Mass Media Studies as an academic subject for calculation of Mass “Best Four”.
Entrance Test:
The Entrance Test will be based on General Awareness, Media Awareness, Current Affairs, English Comprehension, and Grammatical and Analytical Skills.
5 YEAR INTEGRATED COURSE IN JOURNALISM
This is the 5-year integrated course offered by Du in Journalism. The candidates who are interested in Journalism can pursue this course.
Eligibility:
An aggregate of 50% or more marks determined on the basis of all five subjects offered in the qualifying examination. The course is taught separately for English and Hindi mediums.
Entrance Test:
- The Entrance Test will be based on General Awareness, Media, Awareness, Current Affairs, English Comprehension, Grammatical and Analytical Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Basic Mathematics Skills.
- The entrance test will be held both in English and Hindi Medium.
