Shanmugha University 2024 admission form will be released its application form in the third week of April 2024. The whole application process is online. Students have to register through the official website. SASTRA University offers a variety of UG, PG, integrated, and doctoral programs for admission.

Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology, and Research Academy, or SASTRA, is a private university in the town of Thirumalaisamudram, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, India. Established in 1984 as Shanmugha College of Engineering, affiliated to the Bharathidasan University, Trichy. SASTRA got recognition as a private, deemed-to-be university in 2001.

SASTRA University offers over 80 UG, PG, doctoral, and distance programs in the fields of engineering, science, management, law, and fine arts. The university has received NAAC accreditation and UGC recognition. It also ranks 26th in the university category in the NIRF ranking for 2023.

SASTRA University admission to UG and PG courses is based on the merits of class 12th or equivalent. Courses like B.Tech, LL.B, B.Optom, and MBA are based on state and national-level exams like JEE Mains, CLAT, CAT, NEET, GATE, etc. 

SASTRA University 2024 admission for B.Tech. is based in two ways. Firstly, based on merit and JEE Mains, and secondly, based on the merit rank of the 12th grade mark. It gives 50-50 weightage to JEE Main marks along with 12th class marks.

The cutoff of the university is based on the marks of the student in the 12th exam and is available on the SASTRA official website. The university will also release the ranks for courses like B.Tech., LL.B., B.Optom., and MBA for national and state-level tests.

SASTRA Application Form 2024

Students can register for different courses by filling out the application form online on the university’s official website. SASTRA University admission will commence in April 2024. Only students who have registered will be eligible for seat allotment in the relevant courses. The procedure for filling out the application form is as follows:

• Click on the ‘Online Application 2024’ icon.
• A new age will open here, click on the ‘new candidates’ button.
• Now fill in your information, like name, mobile number, program you are applying for, and email ID.
• Once you submit the details, you will receive a notification regarding the registration number and password to log in.
• Here, log in using the registration number and password, fill in all other academic and basic details, and submit it.
• Next, pay the application fee through the online payment portal and move forward.
• Lastly, upload a scanned copy of the necessary documents and submit the application form.
• Print a copy of the form for future reference.

SASTRA University Ranking

Shanmugha has received an ‘A++’ grade from NAAC in the IV cycle, and UGC recognizes it as a Category I institution. Twelve of its engineering programs have received international accreditation by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

SASTRA Campus

Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology, and Research Academy is a state-of-the-art university with two campuses, SPTC and SRC, in Tamil Nadu. The campus spreads across 232 acres, with a total built area of about 3,00,000 square meters.
