Whether it is a film, web series, or short film, it always brings something special to its viewers. Now, the streamer brings a series of 10 best short films, which have been released on the official YouTube channel of Netflix India, as part of its short film workshop and competition, “Take Ten.”

1- Salt
Director: Barkha Naik
The short film revolves around the lives of a father and his son, who lost his mother recently. The story shows the strange relationship between the father-son duo, as they barely talk to each other.
2- Home
Director: Aditi Sharma
The film focuses on a resident tea plantation worker who dreads her approaching retirement as she is forced to choose between running her livelihood or saving her daughter from social monsters like class divide, inheritance, and exploitation.
3- Chhoti Si Baat
Director: Hitarth Rakesh Desai
The plot of the film revolves around a 12-year old school going kid named Shiv, who has been guarding a secret for a long time. But his life took a different turn during the Ganapati celebration, and his secret is exposed.
4- Bjili
Director: Manasvini Boovarahan
The short film focuses on an immigrant worker, Gajamathi, from Bihar, who lives in a small shack in the construction building along with her mother, Shanthi, and her three year old daughter, Bijli, who goes missing one day. Will Gajamathi be able to find her? That is the crux of the story.
5- Stockholm
Director: Murali Krishnan
Stockholm is a comedy-thriller that focuses on the life of Viswanathan, a 60-year-old man living the life of solitude. One day, three fearful goons kidnapped him, and, interestingly, the life became interesting for the man he finds home, in his captors.
6- Home 2
Director: Ria Nalavade
The science fiction drama revolves around a 7-year old girl, Inaya, who suddenly is unable to recognise her parents and starts feeling like a stranger in her own house. Her worried parents hire a therapist to uncover why these things are happening to her.
7- Screen
Director: Sandeep Kishan Anbuselvan
Screen is an experimental film that examines the definition of “home.” It reveals whether it is a place, some people, or just pictures and sound that weave together a bit of life.
8- Lokkhon Rekha
Director: Rohan Shyam Chowdhury
The story explores the life of Suman, who lives in a middle-class house of 5 family members. Being fed up with the daily taunts from his family, he decided to commit suicide. Overall, the short film exposed the vein of generational trauma that has shaped their lives.
9- Sadabahar
Director: Suyash Kamat
The film revolves around five band members of Sadabahar, a wedding brass quartet from UP working in Goa. After being falsely accused of robbery, they have to decide between pursing a livelihood as outsiders in Goa and returning to their village.
10- Soul- Kadhi
Director: Sameeha Sabnis
The plot of the film revolves around an orphan daughter-in-law and her mother-in-law, who developed a very strange bond after which they started spilling secrets, sharing recipes, and exchanging late night thoughts, which led to an easy and free life for both of them.
