Now, after the Korean remake of the film Drishyam, the makers of Panorama Studios have joined hands with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Ffilms to make Drishyam in Hollywood.

It is a historical moment as the movie Drishyam will be remade in Hollywood. The bigger milestone is that the movie Drishyam will be the first Indian movie that will be remade in Hollywood. It was recently stated that Panorama Studios has acquired the International remake rights of the movie Drishyam Part 1 and 2 from the original producers, Ashirvad Cinemas.
The Hollywood makers, Mike Karz and Bill Bindley of Gulfstream Pictures made a statement that, they are very happy to collaborate with Panorama Studios and JOAT Films on an English-language adaptation of Drishyam. The film is a timeless thriller that entranced audiences across the globe and they can’t wait to bring the movie to fans in the USA.
In a press conference, the original markers and the Panorama studios said that Drishyam’s clever narrative has a universal appeal, and they are keen to celebrate the story with audiences worldwide and are happy to collaborate with JOAT Films and Gulfstream Pictures to create the story in English for Hollywood. The makers also said that after Korea and Hollywood, their mission is to produce Drishyam in 10 countries in the next three to five years.

The movie Drishyam is originally a Malayalam movie from 2013 which was written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. The movie was produced by Antony Perumbavoor for Ashirvad Cinemas. Drishyam stars, Mohanlala and Meena as lead characters. The movie was then remade in several languages, Drishya in Kannada in 2014, Drushyam in Telugu in 2014, Papanasam in Tamil in 2015, and Drishyam in Hindi in 2015.
In the Hindi sequel of Drishyam, actors Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Shriya Sara, Ishita Dutta and more have worked together and won the hearts of the Indian audience with both the two parts of the movie. With the success of the movie in India, the remake of the movie was announced in South Korea at the India Pavillion at Cannes 2023.
