Producer Ramesh Taurani who launched Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in his 2013 coming of age film Ishq Vishk, will be launching fresh faces again in the sequel of the same.
The prequel Ishq Vishk was made with a small budget of Rs 5 Cr and the film did an overall worldwide business of Rs 12 Cr, it was considered a hit at the box office.
The film became Shahid and Amrita’s first hit also, their onscreen pair received acclamation from the critics and the audience as well. Shahid-Amrita further went on to be paired in Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi (2005), Shikhar (2005), and Vivah (2006).
Star Cast of Ishq Vishk Rebound
Now after 19 yrs Ramesh S. Taurani’s ‘Tip’s Industries’ has announced the sequel to the film by launching a motion poster. With the launch of the poster featuring new cast members, they also announced that the shooting for the film has commenced.
- It will star Rohit Saraf as one of the main leads, has worked in SRK-Alia’s Dear Zindagi, and was last seen in a Netflix web series Feels Like Ishq.
- The film also stars Hrithik Roshan’s cousin, Pashmina Roshan who will be marking her Bollywood debut in the film, she is the daughter of music composer Rajesh Roshan.
- Jibraan Khan will also play a key role in the film, he has worked in SRK’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam’ as a child actor.
- Naila Grewal, her known works include Tamaasha, Thappad, and Bareilly Ki Barfi.
Release Date of Ishq Vishk Rebound
Ishq Vishk Rebound will see the directorial debut of Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, the sequel will be produced by Ramesh S. Turani under his banner Tips Official and co-produced by Jaya Turani. The filming has just started, and it will be released in theatres in 2023 reportedly.

For the unversed, 2003 romantic comedy Ishk Vishk was directed by Ken Ghosh, the film was about a young couple Rajiv and Payal, film’s music, story, and casting received huge praises from the cinephiles. Anu Malik was the music composer and the background score was given by Raju Singh.
