Bollywood’s “King Khan” Shah Rukh Khan is set to have his comeback on the big screen soon, after 2018 romantic comedy drama film Zero in which he stars actress Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi fame Anushka Sharma.
King Khan have many big budget project in the pipeline such as Siddharth Anand directorial Pathaan, Raj Kumar Hirani’s Dunki and the much talked about film Jawan with one of the ace director of South Indian cinema, Atlee, known for films like Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal, Andhaghaaram and Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae.
The Atlee directorial Jawan has been creating much hype for a long time, even much before the announcement of its title. There were many assumptions about the title of the film, some said it will be titled as “Sanki”, but finally Jawan was confirmed as the official title, after considering 25 titles.
Star Cast
One of the biggest Pan-India films- Jawan marks the Bollywood debut of Altee as well as the lady superstar Nayanthara. The newly-married actress who tied knot last month with the love of her life- filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, will be playing the female lead opposite SRK in Jawan.
The actress was seen in recently released Tamil survival thriller O2. Along with Jawan she has many projects in the pipeline for 2022-23 such as Gold, Iraivan, Godfather and Connect.
Apart from SRK and Nayanthara, now the Kollywood megastar Vijay Sethupathi, often referred to as “Makkal Selvan ” by his fans, has been roped in to play the main antagonist in Jawan. The actor is basking in the success of his recently released film Vikram in which he starred alongside superstar Kamal Haasan and the very versatile actor Fahadh Faasil.
Reports suggest he is confirmed villain for Jawan:

If the recent reports are to be believed, Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra will appear in a cameo role in the film. Actor-comedian Sunil Grover is also set to feature in the film, reportedly.
Budget
SRK has completed the Mumbai schedule of the film in April 2022. Reportedly, he will be shooting for the film on-and-off for some days until the first quarter of next year.
The film is produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment and everyone knows that he doesn’t leave a single stone unturned when it comes to giving the best possible production value to all his films.
Now talking about Jawan, it is being said that the explosive entertainer will has a cost of over Rs. 200 core, hence it becomes the costlier film of King Khan’s career after his highly-anticipated Pathaan which is being made with a huge budget of Rs. 250 cr. and is set for release on January 25, 2023.
Jawan Release Date
The makers of the film revealed the release date of the film along with its title announcement on June 3, 2022. The 1.5-minute announcement video shows SRK in a never-seen-before avatar with a face covered with bandages. We also hear whistle sounds in the background.Â

The highly-anticipated Pan-India film is set to be released theatrically on June 22nd, 2023 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada dubbed versions along with the original (Hindi) version.
