The makers of the popular American Neo-noir action thriller John Wick film series are back with its fourth installment titled John Wick: Chapter 4 or JW4 soon.
Created by screenwriter and filmmaker Derek Kolstad, the first installment titled John Wick was released in 2014 followed by two sequels John Wick: Chapter 2 in February 2017 and John Wick: Chapter 3- Parabellum.
All three films were considered critically acclaimed and commercial successes, with a collective gross of more than $587 million. And now the fourth installment John Wick 4, which is serving as a sequel to the third part of the film series, is out in cinemas.

One of the promising stars of Hollywood, Keanu Reeves is reprising his titular role- John Wick, a professional hitman, and assassin who has gained a legendary reputation for his set of skills and is now hunted by the High Table, in the film.
In addition to him, actors Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Rina Sahayama are back in their roles as The Bowery King, Winston, Charon, and Akira, respectively.
Additionally, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgard, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, and Clancy Brown have been roped in to play crucial roles.
John Wick: Chapter 4 Advance Bookings & Release Date in India
Lionsgate officially announced the film during Perabellum’s opening week, with a scheduled release date of May 21, 2022, which was delayed, and further March 24, 2022, was confirmed as the theatrical-release date of the film. It has been released in India on the same day in Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu.
The advance bookings for the movie were opened on March 18, Fri in India. And it grossed 1.5 Cr approx from pre-sales of tickets in India.

The film has created a good buzz among moviegoers in India. On the online bookings website, Bookmyshow, the film has received 9.5 ratings out of 10, so far. As per the trade reports, John Wick 4 minted Rs 3.65 Cr from the three national chains PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis on the first day. It had earned Rs 1.88 Cr from Thursday’s previews.

The film’s lead actor Keanu Reeves stated that he will continue making sequels as long as films are successful. Lionsgate, the distributor and owner of the franchise intended to film the fourth and fifth installments back-to-back but dropped the plans in March 2021.

About the Film
It is directed by Chad Stahelski from a screenplay co-written by Shay Hate and Michael Finch, who is taking over from franchise creator Derek Kolstad. It is produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Stahelski with Reeves and Louise Rosner as executive producers under the banners of Thunder Road Pictures and 87North Productions.
