Kanaa Kaanum Kalangal Season 2 Release Date, OTT, Where & When to Watch?

Tamil streaming series Kana Kaanum Kaalangal or KKK is a coming-of-age teen drama written by Shivakanth. Season 1 of this highly acclaimed web series premiered on Disney+Hotstar in April 2022 and ended on Dec 2022. The first season consists of 132 episodes.

The IMDb rating of the show is 8.2 out of 10. It is a spin-off from the Tv series of the same name which was aired on Star Vijay in 2006.  KKK season 1 premiered on 22 April 2022 with the first 4 episodes on Disney+Hostar. It ended with episode 132 on 9 Dec 2022.

KKK Season 2 Release Date

Kana Kaanum Kaalangal season 2 was announced by the platform, recently. Disney+Hotstar Tamil on Dec 15 took to Twitter to share an announcement poster regarding the second season of the series. As per the reports, KKK season 2 is expected to release on Disney+Hotstar in summer-2023.

Recently, Disney+Hotstar also confirmed that the show has ended. Replying to a viewer’s query about the delay in episodes, @hotstar_helps on Twitter wrote that the show has ended and no new episodes would be uploaded. You can read the tweet below:

Hi! We appreciate your interest for the show ‘kana kaanum kaalangal' however, this show has ended, and the last episode was uploaded on 09/December/2022. No new episodes of this show will now uploaded.

However, the good news is that Kana Kaanum Kaalangal has started premiering on the television channel Vijay Tv from Dec 26, Mon-Fri at 5.30 pm.

It features Bharath Kumar (Gunasekhar), VJ Sangeetha (Teacher Malar), Aravind Seiju (Kalaiarasan aka Kalai), Raja Vetri Prabhu (Gautham), Irfan (Vineeth aka Jerry), Teja Venkatesh (Nandhini), Deepika Venkatachalam (Abirami alias Abi), Aashik Gopinath (Kicha), Pranika/Abeneya (Parvathy) in the main leads, they are expected to return on the second season as well.

The plot follows a bunch of teenagers and their struggles that revolve around adolescence. The series received a lot of praise from the viewers. It is produced by R Venkatesh Babu under the banner Global Villagers.

The first season had 132 episodes with a runtime of 30 minutes per episode. Sathish Kumar, M. Vijay Ananth Prabhu is the cinematographer while G Pa Vinoth handled the editing.

The streaming series is a spin-off of the 2006 Tv series of the same name. The soap opera aired on weekdays on Star Vijay and marked the first soap on Tamil Tv that focused on School Life.

It became a huge hit and further 2 sequels called Kana Kaanum Kaalangal Kallooriyin Kadhai and Kana Kaanum Kalangal Kalloori Saalai were made which focused on college life.
