‘Lakadbaggha’ is an upcoming action thriller, it is touted as India’s first-ever action film about an animal lover turned vigilante. The film is inspired by real events in Kolkata and deals with the illegal animal trade industry.
It is directed by Victor Mukherjee and produced by First Ray Films. Lakadbaggha received a standing ovation at its Indian premiere at the 28th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival.
Lakadbaggha Release Date
French cinematographer Jean-Marc-Selva (AFC) shot the action thriller while Ong-Bak fame Kech Khamphakdee designed the action sequences for the movie. The film had its International premiere at the HBO South Asian Intl. Film Festival New York recently.
Lakadbaggha is set to release in cinemas on 13 January 2023.
Lakadbaggha Star Cast
Lakadbaggha stars Anshuman Jha, Riddhi Dogra, Paresh Pahuja and Milind Soman with the latter marking his big screens debut after 8 years. Milind was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. He is playing a martial arts instructor and Anshuman’s father, Tarun Bakshi in the film.
The Trailer of Lakadbaggha will be out on 3 Jan 2023, Milind Soman took to Twitter on Dec 28, Wednesday, and announced the trailer release date by sharing the motion poster featuring himself.

All About Lakadbaggha
Lakadbaggha is set in Kolkata and tells the narrative of a man who lives in Haritaki Bagan in north Kolkata. Talking about the main lead Anshuman Jha, the actor debuted in 2010 with the Hindi film Love, Sex and Dhokha in which his performance received critical acclaim.
Anshuman trained for six months in Krav-Maga, Israeli martial art for Lakadbaggha. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Riddhi Dogra, who is known for her work on Tv and the popular series ‘Asur.’
The filming for Lakadbaggha began in Dec 2021 in Kolkata with supermodel Milind Soman joining the shoot in Feb 2022. It is written by Alok Sharma and directed by Victor Mukherjee.
