Money Heist: Korea- Joint Economic Area 2 is an upcoming web series, a Korean remake of the successful Spanish web series of the same name. The Spanish version of Money Heist has made a worldwide fan following and it has an IMDb rating of 8.2 out of 10.
The heist crime drama series is directed by Kim Hong-sun, written by Ryu Yong jae, Kim Hwan-chae and Choe Sung-jun, it will follow the same storyline as the Spanish Tv series.
The development of the series began in Dec 2020, casting started in March 2021, and the filming of the show was concluded in early 2022.

Netflix dropped a first season on 24 June 2022, consist of 12 episodes and now made announcement regarding second season, streaming from 9th of December.

Yoo Ji-Tae is playing the professor’s role in the series, Jeon Jong-seo as Tokyo, Park Hae-soo (Berlin), Lee Won-jong (Moscow), Kim Ji-hoon (Denver), Jang Yoon-jong (Moscow), Kim Ji-hoon (Denver), Jang Yoon-ju (Nairobi), Lee Hyun-woo (Rio), Kim Ji-hun (Helsinki), Lee kyu-ho (Oslo). They all will be part of the heist gang which will pull off the biggest heist.
Other star cast in key roles are Kim Yun Jin, Kim Sung ho, Park Myung-hoon, Lee Joo-bin, Lim Ji-yeon, Lim Hyeong-guk, Lee Si-woo.

The 1 min 23-sec teaser trailer of the series was released on May 20th, it starts with a war ending with an announcement over a news channel which says, ” The democratic people’s Republic of Korea, together with South Korea declares an end to the war.” We further saw the glimpse of the rebel gang who has a thought the liberation of the country only made rich people richer and poor people got nothing which resulted in their hate towards the capitalism. further 9 people teamed up to pull off the single larget money heist.

Netflix developed the series, Kim Hong-sun is the director, it is made under the banner BH Entertainment, and Zium Content. Earlier Park Jung-woo was to play the role of Rio but Lee Hyun-woo replaced him, due to date issues.
