Amazon Prime Video has released the teaser of its upcoming science fiction drama television series titled Paper Girls, which is a web-adaptation of the comic book series of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by Cliff Chiang.

In 2019, Amazon Studio revealed that it had put the project in development with Vaughan executive producing it under his overall deal with Legendary Pictures Production LLC and Stephany Folsom being onboard as written as well as executive producer alongside Vaughan.

Later, Cliff Chiang, Christopher Cantwell and Christopher C. Rogers joined Folsom and Vaughan as executive producers. The series’ filming began on March 1, 2021 and was concluded on October 1, 2021.

Paper Girls Teaser Out

The official twitter handle of Amazon Prime Video released the 41-second long teaser with the caption “time flies by…literally”.  The teaser follows four teens- Eric, Mac, Tiffany and KJ who are out delivering paper in the morning hours after Halloween in 1988.

While out on their delivery route, they become caught in a conflict between warring factions of time-travelers that change the course of their life forever. Transported into the future in 2019, these girls must figure out a way to get back home to the past. 

This journey to go back into the past will bring them face-to-face with their grown-up versions and many challenges are awaiting him in their route. In order to survive, these girls will need to overcome their differences and learn to trust each other and themselves.

Paper Girls OTT Release Date Out

Along with the teaser of this sci-fi series, the makers again announced the release date, which they released previously too. All 8-episodes of the much-anticipated series will premiere exclusively on Friday, July 29, 2022 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Paper Girls Star Cast

The series stars Sofia Rosinsky, Camryn Jones, Riley Lai Nelet and Fina Strazza in the lead roles as Mac Coyle, Tiffany Quilkin, Erin Tieng and KJ Brandman, respectively. Ali Wong is playing a young version of Erin while Nate Corddry is playing as Larry.
