Shehar Lakhot is Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming crime thriller series which is created, written, and directed by Navdeep Singh. Devika Bhagat is the co-creator and co-writer of the series.
Amazon Prime announced the series along with its more than 40 upcoming projects including original series, original films, and co-productions in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages at its first-ever Amazon Prime Present India event which was held in Mumbai’s J.W. Marriott.
The streamer also announced the upcoming seasons of its superhit series like Mirzapur, Paatal Lok, The Family Man, Panchayat, Four More Shots, etc. Along with that it also unveiled the title of fresh original web series such as filmmaker duo Raj & DK’s Shahid Kapoor led Farzi as well as Pankaj Tripathi, Kunal Khemu, Patralekha Paul led Gulkanda Tales, Sonakshi Sinha’s Dahaad and may more. While announcing these titles, the streamer also ran a hashtag “#SeeWhereItTakesYou”.

Shear Lakhot is also a fresh web series that follows a man who unwillingly returns to his hometown where he not only battles his past demons but also gets stuck in a situation where he has to prove his innocence. Offroad Films has bankrolled it.

- Actor Priyanshu Painyuli is playing the lead role in this crime drama series. The actor had earlier appeared in Netflix’s 2020 American action thriller Extraction and Prime Video’s acclaimed crime thriller Mirzapur. He recently featured in Zee5’s sports drama film Rashmi Rocket starring actress Taapsee Pannu
- Actress Shruthy Menon of “His Storyy” and “Ray” fame is playing the leading lady in the series
- Actor Chandana Roy Sanyal, who has worked in movies like “Sanak”, “Ray” and the Series “Aashram” has also been roped in for the series. He will also be seen in the Second season of Aashram and a few unannounced projects.
- Kubbra Sait, who gained widespread recognition for portraying Kukoo on the first season of Netflix’s original crime thriller Sacred Games, has also joined the star cast of Shehar Lakhot
- Manu Rishi Chadha of “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!” fame will play a crucial role in the series
- Kashyap Sanghari is also a part of the series’s star cast

The title of the crime thriller drama was revealed on April 28, 2022, with the caption SheharLakhotOnPrime: A neo-noir series about a man who reluctantly returns to his hometown and gets drawn into a cesspool of smoke and mirrors. How will he prove his innocence?”. It seems the series is going to be very excited to watch and will disclose some mysteries of the past.

Amazon Prime Video has not revealed the streaming date of this thriller drama. It is likely to be released in the last 2022. We will update the information as soon as the makers of the series give any updates.
