Tanaav is the Indian adaptation of Internationally acclaimed Israeli television series Fauda which was developed by Israeli journalist Avi Issacharoff and actor Lior Raz based on their experiences in the Israeli Defense Forces.
The Indian adaptation of the socio- political drama is helmed by National Award winning director Sudhir Mishra, who has directed films like Dharavi, Main Zinda Hoon, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahi, Chameli, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Khoya Khoya Chanda and Yeh Saali Zindagi etc. Sachin Mamta Krishn is the co-director of the series.
Tanaav Star Cast
Set against the backdrop of 2017 Kashmir, Tanaav’s cast is an eclectic ensemble of amazing actors and performers, that have been cast none other than Popular casting director Mukesh Chhabra.
It features Manav Vij, Sumit Kaul, Ekta Kaul, Rajat Kapoor, Shashank Arora, Arbaaz Khan, Zarina Wahab, Waluscha De Sousa, Danish Hussain, Satyadeep Mishra, Sukhmani Sadana, Sahiba Bali, Amit Gaur, Arslan Goni, Rockey Raina, M.K. Raina, Sheen Dass, Aryaman Seth amongst others in prominent roles.
Release Date
Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Applause Productions for SonyLIV, Tanaav is set to deliver 12 exciting and nail-biting episodes. However, the official release date of the series is yet to be announced, the series has been finalized to be premiered on SonyLIV. Some new updates are expected soon.

About the Series
Tanaav will tell the story of the Special Covert Ops Unit as well as their bravery and courage. It is a socio- political action drama with family at its core, delving into the human drama behind philosophies and the intricacies of thoughts and feelings as well as dysfunctional personalities, all of whom share the same feelings of love, loss, betrayal and revenge. The series was shot extensively in many locations of Kashmir over 100 days.
