Global OTT giant Netflix always tries to come up with something promising for its viewers. In the past few years, the platform has gained immense popularity, especially in India.
Be it a movie or web series, it often brings something unique to its viewers to keep them engaged with the content. It has also brought documentaries such as Ladies First, Period. End of Sentence., Rooting for Roona, Searching for Sheela, and others.
Now, the platform is set to premiere a nature based documentary short film titled The Elephant Whisperers, which is directed by short film director Kartiki Gonsalves and written by Priscilla Gonsalves.
The Elephant Whisperers OTT Release Date Out
On Monday, November 14, 2022, the makers of this docu-film announced its release date via an adorable poster featuring a couple with an animal. The short film, with a run time of over 41 minutes, is set to be released on December 8, 2022, only on Netflix.

The Elephant Whisperers Star Cast Plot
The Elephant Whisperers explores the lives of a tribal couple in south India, Bomman and Bellie, as they fall in love with an orphaned elephant calf, Raghu, and devote their lives to its care, working tirelessly to ensure its recovery and survival.
The Tamil docu-film highlights the beauty of the wild spaces of South India and also showcases the relationship between animals and indigenous people here.
The Elephant Whisperers Makers
This short film is backed by popular Indian filmmaker and BAFTA award nominee Guneet Monga in association with Achin Jain under her Sikhya Production banner, a production house that produced notable films like Gangs of Wasseypur-Part 1, Gangs of Wasseypur-Part 2, Peddlers, The Lunchbox, Masaan, Zubaan, and Paglait.
Monga also serves as an executive producer of the 2019 Academy Award-winning documentary film “Period. End of Sentence.” Douglas Blush, Kartiki Gonsalves are serving as executive producers.
The technical crew of the short film also includes Karan Thapliyal, Krish Makhija, Anand Bansal, and Kartiki as cinematographers, and Sanchari Das Mollick and Douglas Blush as editors.
