The Last of Us is an upcoming HBO Original series based on the 2013 game of the same name developed by Naughty Dog. Billed as a post-apocalyptic drama, the series is believed to be the largest television production in Canadian history.
It is the first HBO series to be based on a video. game is jointly bankrolled by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Naughty Dog, The Mighty Mint, and World Games. The series was shot in Alberta, Canada, between July 2021 and June 2022.

- Bella Ramsey plays Ellie, a 14-year-old girl who displays defiance and anger but has a private need for kinship and belonging.

Also, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, who portrayed Ellie and Joel in the games, will star in the series in undisclosed roles, as will Rutina Wesley and Brand Leland. The show will also feature the characters Maria and Clickers.
The Last of Us OTT Release Date
The series, developed by the creator of the award-winning miniseries “Chernobyl,” Craig Mazin, and acclaimed video game creator Neil Druckmann, is set to premiere on Sunday, January 15, 2023, on HBO and HBO Max. It will consist of nine episodes written by Mazin and Druckmann.
On Wednesday, November 2, the makers of the series made it official with a new poster showing Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey walking through an overgrown city.

The Last of Us Teaser Out
On September 26, 2022, HBO released the teaser for this highly anticipated series. Set two decades after the implosion of current-day society, The Last of Us centres around Joel, a tough survivor, who is hired to smuggle a 14-year-old girl named Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone.
