Billed as a legal and political drama series, The Trial (The Good Wife in the past) is the Indian adaptation of the acclaimed American drama series of the same name, which delivered seven seasons (September 2009- May 2016), consisting of a total of 156 episodes. The Trial OTT Release Date & Review
The most anticipated series, The Trial, featuring Kajol, has been released on July 14 on Disney Plus Hotstar. In the series, Kajol will be seen playing the character of Nayonika, a lawyer who will be fighting for justice against all odds.

Disney+Hotstar announced its Hotstar Special series The Good Wife (Now changed to The Trial) via an announcement video on September 8, 2022.
