On August 8, 2023, Renowned Malayalam Director, Siddique passes away. Siddique was admitted to a hospital for liver-related diseases. Siddique is survived by his wife, Sajitha, and 3 children Sumaya, Sara & Sukoon.
Director Siddique started his career as a screenwriter before making his directorial debut with the 1984 film “Aa Neram Alppa Dooram.” His last film was the 2020 Action Thriller film Big Brother.
Director Siddique Cause of Death
According to media reports, Director Siddique was admitted to the Amrita Hospital Kochi. Director was admitted there on 10th July 2023 for Pneumonia, a lung disease. He was constantly under medical supervision and later put on ventilator support. Fighting for his life on 6 August, he had a heart attack and died 2 days later. Siddique was 69 years old.
Director Siddique Funeral
As per media reports, the mortal of Siddique will be placed at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Kadavanthra, on 10 August 2023 from 9 AM to 11:30 AM IST. Afterward, it will be taken to his home for people to come and show their respect. The funeral is scheduled for 6 pm on Wednesday.

Siddique Ismail also directed and write the story for the Bollywood film ‘Bodyguard’. Salman Khan was in the lead role as bodyguard Lovely Singh is hired to shadow Divya Rana (Kareena Khan Kapoor).

One of Siddique’s most iconic movies is “Ramji Rao Speaking,” which was released in 1989. This comedy-drama became a huge hit in the Malayalam film industry.
Another notable Malayalam movie directed by Siddique is “Friends,” released in 1999, which makes audiences with an entertaining storyline filled with friendship, love, and laughter. Siddique continued to deliver hit films throughout his career, including “Chronic Bachelor” (2003), “Bodyguard” (2010), and “Bhaskar the Rascal” (2015).
Unfortunately, Director Siddique’s sudden death came as a shock to the Malayalam film industry.
