Devotees call him with several names like Bajrangbali, Sarvamayavibhanjana, Sankat Mochan, as they believed, all the difficulties and fears go away when we start believing in the Lord Hanuman and worshiping him.
Hanuman Jayanti 2022 Date & Time
Every year, Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on the full moon day of the month of Chaitra, popularly known as Chaitra Purnima or Poornima Tithi, as per Hindu Calendar.

Since Lord Hanuman is believed to have taken birth at the Sunrise, the celebration in Hanuman temples starts before the Sunrise and continues for the entire day, until after Sunset.
This year, the festival will fall on April 16 as per Gregorian Calendar. Poornima Tithi will begin at 2:27 am on April 16, 2022 and it will end at 12:24 am on April 17, 2022.
Hanuman Jayanti History

As per famous legend, it is believed that when the King of Ayodhya Dasaratha divided the Kheer he got form Agni Dev or the God of fire to his three Queens Kaushalya, Kaikeyi and Sumitra, one of eagles in Kaikeyi’s hand swung and took some Kheer in mouth and flew back.
When that eagle was flying above the Ashram of the Goddess Anjana was looking up and due to her mouth being open, a small portion of Kheer and she ate it voluntarily.
After that, an incarnation of Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman was born from her womb, Hence, on the full moon day of Chaitra month, Hanuman ji, wearing a Janeu was born.
For being born from the womb of Anjana, Hanuman ji is also called Anjaniputra and Pavana as his godfather, he is also known as Pavanaptra by his devotees.
Hanuman Jayanti 2022 Pooja Vidhi
On this day, the devotees of Lord Hanuman keep fast for the whole day, go to Hanuman temples and offer beautiful flowers and garlands to the Lord. Other than this, Sundar Kand, Hanuman Chalisa etc, are recited by devotees.
As per Hindu belief, Lord Shani promised Lord Hanuman that he will not disturbed his devotees on this auspicious day. It is also believed that by offering prayer to God on this day people get rid of their troubles and fears and gain positiveness by the grace of Hanuman ji.
Hanuman Jayanti 2022 Significance
As per Hindu belief, Lord Hanuman is considered as the symbol of strength, perseverance and devotion. He worshiped Lord Rama with full devotion and was there with the Lord in every difficulty.
He played a very important role in helping Lord Rama and to bring Sita Mata back from Lanka, after wicked Ravana, the demon King of Lanka, abducted her.

He teaches us to be persistent and devoted towards our goals and no matter how many difficulties come into life, it is the self-belief and the devotion which will help us overcome every difficulty of life.

As Hanuman ji is considered as the symbol of strength, Hanuman Jayanti is also significant for wrestlers and bodybuilders. On this day, these bulky bodybuilders fast from morning and break their fast only at night.
In rural India, various bodybuilding and wrestling competitions are also organized to showcase strength and muscles. Many special programs and dramas are also enacted based on the heroic deeds performed by Hanuman Ji.
