According to Hindu Calendar, the festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on the full moon day of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month so this year it will be observed on 30 August on Wednesday and the Purnima tithi will last at 7:05 AM on Thursday, starting at 10:58 AM on August 30.

According to the Hindu calendar, this year the auspicious time of tying Rakhi will start from the night 8:57 pm. The best time to tie Rakhi on this day would be from 8:57 pm to 7:45 pm. At this time, sisters can tie rakhi to their brother’s wrists.

The Bhadra Poonch time will be 05:30 PM to 06:31 PM and no auspicious work should be done during Bhadra time. The celebration of Raksha Bandhan should be done at an auspicious time and not during Bhadra Poonch.
