The 19th edition of the AFC Cup 2023 tournament started on September 18, 2023. This is the last edition before being replaced by AFC Champions League 2 from the 2024–25 season. The AFC Cup is organized by the Asian Football Confederation.
This is the first time in the history of the AFC Cup that a two-year (autumn-to-spring) schedule is happening instead of an all-year-round (spring-to-autumn) schedule.
