Divyakriti Singh the Indian equestrian belonging to Rajasthan has been recently awarded the Arjuna Award. On 9 January 2024, In Rasthrapati Bhavan, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu presented the Arjuna Award to the recipients and one of them was Divyakriti Singh she became the first woman from the country to receive the Arjuna Award in Equestrian.
It was a proud moment not only for Divyakriti and her family but for also the state of Rajasthan as after 5 years she became the second woman to receive the Arjuna Award. The first Arjuna Award was earned by a women athlete in 2018. Divyakriti also became the first Indian woman to win an Asian gold medal.
