The World Test Championship 2023 final between India and Australia finally ended on June 11, 2023. The WTC Final 2023 was held at London’s Oval Stadium, and Australia won the WTC Final trophy with 209 runs. The Indian fans are definitely not very impressed after the Indian team’s defeat.
Australia became the only team to sweep all of the competitions after winning the WTC Final in 2023. On the final day, India lost seven wickets for an additional 70 runs. While R. Aswhin’s non-selection was the main topic of conversation on the first day, India’s high-profile batting lineup was largely to blame for their loss of the championship match.
Before the WTC 2023 Final, Team India’s new jersey, which is designed by Adidas excellently, looks sharp, and the massive sponsorship agreement (worth Rs. 350 crores) is set in stone for the following five years. Players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yashaswi Jaiswal, and others were observed getting ready for an important game this year and looked fantastic in the new gear.
The league competition for test cricket, the ICC World Test Championship, is run by the ICC (International Cricket Council). The first test championship started with the 2019 Ashes series and finished with New Zealand lifting the trophy after defeating India in the first WTC final in June 2021.
