NEET PG Counselling 2022: MCC has now allowed candidates to change their category in National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) PG counselling 2022. All the candidates who have filled their categories inadvertently can now change it through the official website.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has now allowed candidates to change their category from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) or Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) to Unreserved (UR) in National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) PG counselling 2022.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has shared an official notification that, Candidates who had inadvertently filled their category as SC/ ST/ EWS/ OBC in the registration form of NBE but later realized that they are unable to claim reserved category seats due to any reason.
The notice further added that, MCC of DGHS, MoHFW is allowing ‘Change of Category’ option on front page of Registration form which may be availed by only those candidates who wish to change their category from SC/ST/OBC/EWS to UR category for Round 1 of NEET PG Counselling, 2022 and subsequent rounds.
The Medical Counselling Committee also informed the candidates that, once they change their category or nationality from ‘NRI’ to ‘INDIAN’ they will be deemed to be UR/Indian for further rounds of NEET PG 2022 counselling. Afterwards the candidates will not be able to change their category or nationality.

MCC has already started the counselling registrations for NEET PG 2022 candidates from 15th September. The last date to register for NEET PG 2022 Counselling is 21st September. The NEET PG 2022 round 1 counselling will be starting from 19th September.
