Ghoomer Box Office Collection Day 1
Ghoomer released on 18th August, facing a major clash with last week’s hits Gadar 2, OMG 2, and the 28th July release Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
The all latest releases of Bollywood impress the audiences, Gadar 2 topped the list of the Highest Grossing Bollywood Movies of 2023 and also crossed the 300 Cr Mark at domestic.
There buy 1 get 1 ticket offer on BookMyShow, film is receiving praise all over, running on 1000+ screens. Critic reviews are also in favor, but the film opens slowly with 85 lakhs, as per early estimates. Reports also suggest that Ghoomer is a small-budget (Approx 20 crores) film, so a slow start is not shocking for this film.
Ghoomer vs Other releases
Ghoomer unveils the tale of an ambitious female cricketer, who was on the brink of making her international debut but met with an accident that resulted in the loss of her right hand. This is a nightmare beyond imagination.
Then a failed and frustrated senior cricketer came to her life, this is the climax of this movie, it has a powerful story and direction of veteran filmmaker R Balki.
Gadar 2 and OMG 2 both have audiences, Gadar 2 offers mass entertainment with its action-packed storyline, while OMG 2 presents a sensitive social drama. Ghoomer draws inspiration from the shooting athlete Karoly Takacs, but R Balki opted for a cricket-oriented storyline due to cricket being one of the most loved sports in India.
