Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is back with flick titled “India Lockdown,” based on real-life events that happened throughout the COVID-19 lockdown, which has changed the lives of many families in India and worldwide.

The National Award-winning filmmaker is known for making female-centric movies like Fashion, Chandni Bar, Heroine, Calendar Girls, etc. The director’s recent release, Babli Bouncer, starring Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead role, is also a female-centric film and has been creating a lot of impact. It was released on September 23, 2022 on Disney+Hotstar.

Bhnadarkar also directed films like Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Jail, Traffic Signal, Corporate, Page 3 etc. Now India Lockdown is receiving positive reviewal.

India Lockdown Star Cast

Actor Prateik Babbar, who was last seen in Netflix’s film Cobalt Film, is one of the lead actors in the film. Along with him, the film also stars Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Sai Tamhankar, and Prakash Belawadi in key roles. The film’s story is written by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah.

About the Film

The film, produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment, Pranav Jain, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, and Aksshay Jayantilal Gada, will show some stories related to ordinary people who struggled to make ends meet during the toughest time—the COVID-19 lockdown.

Talking about the film, Madhur Bhandarkar said that the film is the product of his observation and it will depict the raw stories of real people across various walks of life. As per him, the film will resonate with many in some or other way.
