One of the most beloved young generation actors, Vicky Kaushal, is back with another quirky family comedy-drama. Earlier, in June 2023, he won hearts in ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,’ where people showered so much love on his pairing with Sara Ali Khan for the first time.
The Great Indian Family is another small-budget family comedy-drama, but the film is facing a ‘Jawan Storm’ at the box office, which can be very challenging on the weekend. However, a small film can also garner success after positive word of mouth.

The Great Indian Family Box Office Collection Day 1
Early reviews of ‘The Great Indian Family’ are positive and favor the film. It was released on 1000 screens across the country, which is fewer compared to the popularity of actor Vicky Kaushal. However, ‘Jawan’ makers and distributors are currently making money. This is only the 3rd weekend for a 300 crore budget movie (‘Jawan’), so ‘The Great Indian Family’ will take time to attract viewers to the cinema.
As per early estimates, ‘The Great Indian Family’ might open with 1.40 Cr but the weekend will add magical numbers to it after word of mouth. Vicky Kaushal and Manushi promoted the film well in several shows and cities.
The Indian Great Family Plot
A Hindu religious man, namely Ved Vyas Tripathi, also known as Bhajan Kumar for his religious beliefs, comes from a Brahmin family. He used to sing devotional songs on stages and in Pandal. The climax takes place when he comes to know that he is a Muslim by birth.
The key character Bhajan Kumar is played by Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar is Vicky Kaushal’s love interest in the film. An ensemble star cast includes Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Yashpal Sharma, Sadiya Siddiqui, and Alka Amin in the film.
