On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through video conferencing, launched the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, under which every citizen will get a digital health ID card to protect all their health records digitally.
During his conference, he addressed the prime issue that is prevalent in the lives of the poor, which is the expenses to support their health problems. Visiting the families during the pandemic crisis, the minister said that in almost every house, the ailing did not visit the hospitals to get themselves checked only because they could not afford it or the old parents did not want to burden their children with debt.
Speaking over the same, he said half of the sufferers were women. They always neglect their problems, thinking they will get better and save money. The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is a step towards solving the same and providing relief to the needy. Till now, over 2 Cr of the total population have benefitted from the services of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
He also remarked that the government is working towards strengthening the health care facilities in remote areas and providing them with primary healthcare and wellness centers.
