Manohar Joshi’s cause of death
The former CM of Maharashtra, Manohar Joshi, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. As per the reports of PTI, it stated that Manohar Joshi was admitted to PD Hinduja Hospital after he suffered a cardiac arrest on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, while he breathed his last today on Friday.
Manohar Joshi’s son Unmesh told the Hindustan Times that his father, Manohar Joshi, was admitted to the ICU and was under observation after he suffered a cardiac arrest on Wednesday. Also, he has had prolonged age-related health issues. He further confirmed that Manohar Joshi’s last rites will be performed at the Shivaji Park crematorium.
It was also reported that Manohar Joshi’s mortal remains would be brought to his house in Matunga. It was also reported that last year, in May 2023, the politician Manohar Joshi suffered a brain hemorrhage and was admitted to the same hospital, PD Hinduja Hospital.

Manohar Joshi who was originally known as Manohar Gajanan Joshi was born on 2 December 1937 and was 86 years old. Manohar Joshi was the shiv sena politician who served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Manohar Joshi belonged from a Brahmin family and used to speak Marathi. Manohar was born to Gajanan Krishna and Saraswati Gajanan.
Manohar Joshi was born in the Raigad district of Maharashtra and there he completed his education, also, Joshi pursued his Master of Arts and LLB degree from the Mumbai University and later he joined politics. Manohar Joshi joined BMC as an officer after completing his MA in law but later he started Kohinoor technical vocational training institute for semi-skilled youths and offers them training. Joshi then started various branches of Kohinoor in various districts of Maharashtra. Then, Manohar joins politics and initially he was elected to the legislative Council from Shiv Sena from 1972 to 1989
Later after several years, Manohar Joshi became the first non-congress Chief Minister of Maharashtra in 1995 to 1999. Manohar Joshi was also a speaker of the Lok Sabha from 2002 to 2004. Apart from that, Manohar Joshi has also served as the Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises from 1999 to 2002.
