The unfortunate death of Andhra Pradesh’s Geetanjali has created outrage on social media. As per reports, Geetanjali took her life due to excessive online trolling by political parties like the TDP and Jana Sena Party.
Geetanjali gave an interview in which she shared that after several years, she finally got the land from the CM of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy, to build her house. In the interview, she expressed her happiness and shared that her children too are receiving Amma Vodi.
However, that interview did not turn out well, and it came to the radar of online bullies and trolls of the TDP and Jana Sena Party. The leaders of the TDP and Jana Sena Party shared that video on their respective social media accounts and kept on trolling the lady.
Geetanjali Suicide Reason?
29-year-old Gulti Geetanjali Devi was a housewife. She took her own life as she was fed with extreme online trolling from the leading political parties in the state. On March 7, after being traumatized by the online trolling, Geetanjali took her own life by jumping in front of a train.
Geetanjali was taken to the hospital, but after the struggle of four days, she succumbed to injuries. After the death of Geetanjali, the ruling party, YSRCP, has announced a compensation of Rs. 20 lakh to the family of the deceased. The death of Geetanjali has started a battle between the ruling party and the opposition.
Geetanjali’s Husband & Children
Geetanjali is survived by her husband, Balachandra, and two daughters named Rishita and Rishika. Balachandra, the husband of Geetanjali, said she received both good and bad comments on the interview, but she only shared the good comments with her.
He even said he couldn’t talk much about the incident, but once he found her talking on the phone and crying, Geetanjali’s daughter said her mother did not speak to anyone for a few days, and even when they tried to talk to her, she didn’t even respond.
