An Indian Embassy employee in Moscow, Satendra Siwal was recently arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). Satendra Siwal has been accused of some serious allegations as some sources stated that Siwal was spying for Pakistan’s ISI.
According to some official statements, the Meerut field unit of Uttar Pradesh’s anti-terrorist squad (ATS) brought Satendra Siwal for further interrogation and questioning as he is accused of providing the country’s confidential information to Pakistan’s ISI (Inter Service Intelligence).
The officials stated that Siwal was providing information to Pakistan regarding the strategic activities of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Indian Military establishments. It is also assumed that Satendra was doing all this in place of money.
Who is Satendra Siwal?
Satendra Siwal is a native of Shahmahiuddinpur village of Hapur in Uttar Pradesh. The young man, Satendra Siwal was employed by the Ministry of External Affairs and was posted as an India-based security Assistant at the Indian Embassy Moscow in Russia he was posted to Moscow in 2021.
Satendra Siwal is the son of Jaiveer Singh a resident of Hapur, UP, and was serving as the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in the position of Security Assistant in the Embassy. Some reports stated that Satendra is one of the staff members who was in contact with Pakistan’s ISI members and leaked the country’s sensitive information for the sake of money and misused his position.
How did Satendra Siwal become an ISI spy?
Satendra Siwal, the Indian Embassy employee in Moscow became an ISI spy and leaked some sensitive information about the country to Pakistan’s ISI agents. Sitendra Siwal took advantage of his position and staked the country’s security. The Uttar Pradesh ATS has arrested Siwal and has said that Pakistan’s ISI handlers have been luring the external ministry staff with money.
According to some reports in Hindustan Times, during an investigation, it came to know that some staff members of the external affairs ministry are in contact with ISI handlers and Satendra Siwal was one of them. For further interrogation, Siwal was called to Meerut’s ATS and during the interrogation, his answers were not satisfactory and after detailed questioning, he spilled the truth.
An FIR has been registered against Satendra Siwal at the ATS Police Station of Lucknow. An official case has also been filed against him under the Indian Penal Code of section 121 A (waging war against the country) and the Official Secrets Act 1923. Siwal is finally arrested and further inquiry is going on.
