Social media buzzed with a remarkable incident as footage surfaced of a 12-year-old boy locking a leopard in a room. Praised for his bravery, the boy’s actions have sparked discussions regarding his safety.
Reportedly, Mohit Ahire, a 12-year-old from Malegaon, was engrossed in a game when a leopard entered his room. He promptly alerted his father, who then contacted the forest department. Some sources suggest that the department had already been notified about the leopard’s presence in the residential area nearby.
In the viral video, Ahire, the son of a wedding hall security guard, is seen absorbed in his phone as the leopard strolls in. Unaware of the boy’s presence, the leopard roams the room. Ahire calmly sets aside his phone, rises, and exits the room, ensuring to shut the door behind him cautiously.
During the interview, Mohit Ahire recounted, “The leopard was incredibly close. There was barely any distance between us. It entered the inner cabin of the office right before my eyes. Though frightened, I calmly rose from the bench and slipped out of the office unnoticed. I made sure to close the door behind me.”
Anil Pawar, the proprietor of the wedding hall where Adhire’s father is employed, explained, “The dimensions of the booking office are 22 feet by 10 feet. We have divided the office into two sections. Mohit Ahire was seated in the first section near the entrance.
The leopard proceeded directly into the inner cabin without noticing the boy. Even as the animal passed by barely a foot away from him, the child remained composed. He later slipped out of the office and closed the door behind him,” he further elaborated.
