Who is Champai Soren?
Champai Soren, a senior minister in the Hemant Soren government, hails from Jilinggoda village in the Saraikela-Kharsawan district. He is the eldest son of Simal Soren, a farmer.
Champai Soren played a significant role in the Jharkhand movement during the late 1990s alongside Shibu Soren, earning recognition as the ‘Jharkhand Tiger.’ He commenced his political journey by securing the Saraikela seat as an independent MLA through a by-election.
