The detention of K Kavitha, daughter of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sparked controversy. Kavitha was apprehended by the ED under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in connection with the Delhi liquor scam case on February 15.
In a startling development, the ED has disclosed that K Kavitha allegedly facilitated a payment of ₹100 crore to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders through a conspiracy involving top figures such as Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia.
The agency stated that it has carried out searches at 245 sites nationwide since the case was registered in 2022, resulting in the arrest of 15 individuals, including former Delhi Deputy CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia, AAP leader Sanjay Singh, and several liquor businessmen.

Kavitha was born on born 13 March 1978. Presently she is serving as the Member of the Legislative Council from Nizamabad. Kavitha is associated with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi party and she was a Member of Parliament from Nizamabad Lok Sabha Constituency from 2014 to 2019.
