A startling incident surfaced when a wife posted a bounty of ₹50,000 for her husband’s murder on her WhatsApp status. The husband became aware of this when he saw his wife’s status and promptly filed a complaint at the police station.
The husband, in his complaint, has also alleged that one of his wife’s acquaintances previously threatened him. Residing in Bah district, Shyam Singh, the in-charge of Bah police station, confirmed that a case has been lodged against the woman, and an investigation is currently ongoing.
According to the filed complaint, the husband disclosed that he married a woman from a village in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, on July 9, 2022. However, soon after, they started experiencing frequent arguments and disagreements. After enduring an unhappy marriage for five months, the woman departed from her husband’s residence in Bah in December 2022 and returned to her parent’s home.
According to the complaint, the woman has now filed a maintenance suit at a police station in Bhind. Additionally, the husband alleged that on December 21, 2023, his in-laws threatened his life as he was returning from Bhind. Following this incident, his wife posted a WhatsApp status offering a reward of ₹50,000 to anyone who could kill him.
In the filed complaint, the husband noted that his wife’s WhatsApp status stated, “A reward of ₹50,000 will be given to the one who kills the husband. The Husband also said that his wife is allegedly having an affair and her lover, too, has threatened to kill him over a phone call.”
The husband further alleged that his wife was involved in an extramarital relationship with a tenant residing in the neighboring house. He asserted that this alleged affair had been the root cause of all their disputes since the beginning of their marriage. As per authorities, the woman can soon be called for questioning.
