Before starting their preparation, the candidates must know the IBPS Clerk 2023 Selection Process, which depends on two important stages, followed by the Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

The prelims and main exams are two important stages consisting of online objective-type exams. The candidates who secure the cut-off set up for the mains examination have to appear in the Languages Proficiency Test (LPT), which assesses their ability to write/understand the native/official language of the State/UT they have applied from.

Every year, lakhs of candidates apply for the examination, which led to the rise in competition. Therefore, to ace each scoring topic and crack the examination, a proper understanding of the syllabus and exam pattern is necessary.

IBPS Clerk 2023 Syllabus

The candidates must carefully understand the IBPS Clerk 2023 Syllabus to know which topics to cover and prepare for in order to crack the examination. The syllabus is divided into two sections: preliminary and mains exams. Candidates can also look into the previous years’ tests as well as the online test series to make themselves aware of the weightage of the sub-topics asked in each section.

IBPS Clerk 2023- Prelims Syllabus

The prelims exam has three sections: English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning ability. This is the first phase, so the difficulty level of the exam is easy to moderate, which eventually increases the competition. The candidate gets 20 minutes for each section, and altogether there are 100 questions.

IBPS Clerk 2023- Mains Syllabus

There are 4 sections in the main exam: “General and Financial Awareness”, “English Language”, “Quantitative Aptitude” and “Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude”. Candidates get 2 hours and 40 minutes to finish 190 questions for a total of 200 marks.

Q-What are the subjects included in the IBPS Clerk exam?

Ans- English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, computer, and general/finance awareness.

Q- Does IBPS syllabus change every year?

Ans- No the syllabus remains the same only certain section such as current affairs and GK are updated from time to time.

Q-Is the syllabus of IBPS Clerk and PO identical?

Ans- Yes the syllabus is the same but the clerk exam doesn’t include a descriptive part. Also, the exam patterns of both exams are slightly different.

    The IBPS Clerk prelims test has a set distribution of marks, so what is it?

      IBPS Clerk preliminary test is of 100 Marks. English Language 30 marks, while the Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude portions each carry 35.
