LIC AAO 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must review the LIC AAO 2023 Eligibility Criteria before applying for the post of Assistant Audit Officer. Anyone who satisfies the AAO’s conditions, including those related to nationality (only Indian citizens are eligible), age limit, and educational requirement, may submit an application for the exam.
Education Qualification
Candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized university on or before January 1, 2023, are eligible to apply for the post.
LIC AAO 2023 Age Limit
- The age of candidates should not be less than 20 years.
- The upper age limit for candidates should not exceed 30 years.
- OBC category candidates can apply for up to 33 years, while OBC with ECO/SSCO can apply for up to 38 years.
- A 5-age relaxation will be given to SC/ST, ECO/SSCO (Gen) category applicants.
- Candidates with benchmark disabilities will get an age relaxation of 10 to 15 years, depending on their category.

LIC AAO 2023 Selection Process
Those who clear all the stages of the LIC AAO 2023 Selection Process will be appointed as Assistant Audit Officers (Generalists). The selection of candidates is determined by the following stages:
- Preliminary Exam
- Mains Exam
- Interview
- Pre-Recruitment Medical Exam
Stage I-Preliminary Exam
To select candidates for the main examination, the preliminary exam is given. 100 objective-type questions totalling 100 marks are included in the exam. There are three sections in the paper. For each section, candidates will have 20 minutes to complete it. For each incorrect response, 0.25 points are subtracted from the total score.
Stage II- Main Examination
The paper will consist of both objective as well as descriptive questions. Candidates get 120 minutes to finish the objective section and 30 minutes to complete the descriptive section. For every incorrect answer, ¼ marks are deducted.
Stage III- Interview
Those who meet the cutoff for the main examination are called for a personal interview. Personal, professional, current affairs and knowledge base questions are asked in this round to check the verbal communication skills and knowledge of an individual. The interview will consist of 60 marks. Each candidate needs to attain 30 points (UR/EWS/OBC) and 27 points (SC/ST/PWBD) to qualify for the interview round.
Stage IV – Medical Exam
The preliminary exam is conducted to shortlist the candidates. The final selection will be based on the performance of the mains and interviews. Selected candidates from the interview will undergo a medical test. Those who pass all of the rounds are appointed as LIC AAO.

LIC AAO 2023 Admit Card
The admit card for the AAO exam will be available 7-8 days before the exam on the official website. All candidates who will appear in the exam must carry the admit card with a photo ID proof for verification.

LIC AAO 2023 Cut-off
Candidates must get the necessary sectional and overall marks to be considered for subsequent rounds. For each phase, the cut-off will be released category-wise. The descriptive English section is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in this round are not considered while preparing final merit.
The cut-off will be based on the number of vacancies, the number of participating candidates, and the difficulty level of the exam.
LIC AAO 2023 Salary
Selected candidates will receive a basic pay of Rs. 32,795 and an annual increment of Rs. 1610 for 14 years. The maximum basic salary an AAO can get is Rs. 63,315.
AAOs in the LIC are paid Rs 34,405; Rs 16,10 (14); Rs 55,335; Rs 17,45 (4); and Rs 6,215 per month. Along with the salary, candidates will get various allowances such as HRA, DA, TA, CCA, etc. With all the allowances and benefits, candidates’ salaries can reach up to Rs. 50,658.
