The Sunrisers Hyderabad will play their first match on 2nd April 2023 against Rajasthan Royals in Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. The teams have to win six matches to advance to the semifinals and elimination rounds of the season.

Brain Lara (Head Coach): The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have appointed the legendary cricketer Brain Lara as their Head Coach. He also holds the record for the highest individual score in first-class cricket.
In 2021, SRH appointed Lara as their batting coach and strategic advisor. This year, Lara will be working as the head coach for SRH.
Dale Steyn (Bowling Coach): He was a former South African cricket player who competed for the South African Cricket Team. Steyn is recognised as the best Test bowler of his period and one of the best fast bowlers of all time.
