Due to the release of Kane Williamson before the 2023 season’s auctions, SRH was without a captain. In Warner’s absence in 2018 and after Warner was removed by SRH in 2022, Williamson commanded the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Aiden Markram and Mayank Agarwal were being viewed as the contenders to win the captain’s headwear. Now SRH has finalised Aiden Markram as their new captain for the upcoming IPL 2023 season.

Brain Lara (Head Coach): The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have appointed the legendary cricketer Brain Lara as their Head Coach. He also holds the record for the highest individual score in first-class cricket.
In 2021, SRH appointed Lara as their batting coach and strategic advisor. This year, Lara will be working as the head coach for SRH.
Dale Steyn (Bowling Coach): He was a former South African cricket player who competed for the South African Cricket Team. Steyn is recognised as the best Test bowler of his period and one of the best fast bowlers of all time.
In December 2021, Steyn was appointed Sunrisers Hyderabad’s fast bowling coach for the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League.
