The creator of the Scottish sitcom Two Doors, Simon Carlyle, died at the age of 48. Amanda Davis, who was the manager of Simon Carlyle, issued a detailed statement after the Scottish creator’s death.
Simon faced a lot of struggles in his life; in one of the interviews, he said, “You basically don’t make any money from writing for the first 20 years.” “I have school friends who became plumbers and earn great cash with a big house and car, and it makes you wonder why you keep trying to write,” he added.
Simon also said that his fortunes came to life only after Two Doors Down started picking up the BBC’s interest, as it was later moved to a primetime slot on BBC One in 2022.

Earlier reports suggested that Simon had killed himself, however, according to The Sun, he died naturally, without any extraordinary circumstances. Carlyle’s manager, Amanda Davis, sent a sincere letter to the actor’s fans in which she praised him for being a good person and a major comic genius.
