Ex-Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has landed in a fresh controversy after an alleged audio clip of his intimate conversations with a woman went viral on social media.
The two-part audio clips were first posted on the YouTube channel of a Pakistani journalist, Syed Ali Haider. In the viral leaked clip, Imran Khan can be heard talking to a woman in vulgar and lewd language.
One of the two audio clips that have gone viral is believed to be old. In the second clip, which is said to be recent, the cricketer-turned-politician is allegedly asking a woman to come near him.
As per the sources, the woman in the clip is Alia Malik, a minister from Khan’s party PTI, it is also being said that the leaked audio is from Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
PTI Calls the Audio Clip ‘Fake’
However, Pakistan Tehreek-i-insaaf (PTI), Imran Khan’s party has called the viral clips fake. PTI leader Azhar Mashwani lashed out at the government and condemned the character assassination of Imran.
PTI member Dr. Aslan Khalid states, that the political opponents of the PTI chief can’t think beyond creating fake audio and videos.
Twitter Reactions to the Leaked Audio Clip Controversy
While the authenticity of the viral clip is still in question, the ex-Pak PM is being criticized online. Netizens have slammed Khan over his conduct. A journalist and South Asia correspondent, Naila Inayat, compared Imran Khan to Emraan Hashmi. She wrote that Imran has become Emraan in the alleged phone sex call leak. Check out the tweet, below:

Pakistani journalist and the founder of The Pak Daily, Hamza Azhar Salam tweeted that he hopes Imran would stop presenting himself as a role model Muslim leader for the entire Ummah. Read the tweet:

The audio clip is the latest in a series of leaked conversations attributed to Imran Khan after he lost power earlier this year.
