Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son Asim Jamil passed away on October 29, 2023 by suicide. As per the information available, Asim shot himself with a gun in the chest. Few reports claimed that he was undergoing treatment for his mental illness.
Tariq Jamil himself confirmed the death of his son and said the last rites of Asim Jamil would be performed in their generational village in Raisabad, Talamba. Several Islamic religious leaders, politicians, and other influential people from Pakistan paid condolences to the family.
