The first edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is being held in Mumbai, Maharashtra. A total of 5 teams are participating in the tournament, and they are: the Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, and UP Warriorz.
A total of 448 cricketers went under the hammer in the inaugural WPL auction. The WPL is the women’s equivalent of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and both the tournaments are organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Royal Challengers Bangalore is among the five teams that are participating in the first edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Ben Sawyer, Malolan Rangarajan, VR Vanitha, and RX Murali will be the coaching staff for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
