Amigos, directed and written by Rajendra Reddy, is a Telugu action thriller. The film stars Nandamuri Kalyanram in a triple role.
The actor arrived on the big screens after the grand success of his last release, Bimbisara, a fantasy action film that turned out to be one of the big Telugu blockbusters in 2022.
Amigos marks the directorial debut of Rajendra Reddy, who also wrote the story and screenplay for the film.

The film which was launched in February 2022, was tentatively titled NKR 19, as it is the 19th film of Kalyanram’s career. It was later titled “Amigos,”, which is a Spanish word that is used to address a friend, which was revealed along with a poster featuring Kalyanram in three looks.
Along with that, the phrase “They say when you meet somebody that looks just like you, you die” was also written across the posters.

The film stars the power actor Kalyan Ram in the lead role, he played three characters in the movie. Apart from Amigos, he will be seen in “David: The British Secret Agent.”.
Sandalwood actress Ashika Ranganath plays the female lead in the film. She is known for her roles in movies like Crazy Boy and Raambo 2. The film marks her debut in the Telugu film industry.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, the action entertainer was released in cinemas on 10 Feb 2023 but failed to get the response like the actor’s previous one.
Talking about its digital premiere, the post-theatrical digital rights of the movie were acquired by Netflix. The platform has now confirmed that the film will hit digitally on April 1, 2023.

Amigos Box Office Collection
The film opened with an average response at the box office. As per the Telugu trade reports, it collected 4.65 Cr gross on the first day at the box office worldwide. After the blockbuster Bimbisara, Kalyan Ram’s this film was expected to take a good opening but failed, wrapped up under 20 Cr WW.

The film was released in around 425 theatres in the two Telugu states (AP/TG) and 260 theatres in the overseas market. The film occupied 60+ theatres in Karnataka & the rest of India, for a total theatre count of 742+, worldwide.

Ahead of the release date which is 10 February 2023, makers dropped the official trailer of the movie on social media platforms which promises to be an intriguing action thriller.
Though the plot is not revealed, the trailer revolves around three identical strangers, with Bipin meeting his other two doppelgangers and later using them for his crimes endangering their lives. The trailer is full of action and suspense with good visuals and scores. Watch the trailer below:
About the Film
The shoot of the film commenced in April 2021 and came to a halt due to the second wave of COVID-19. In October 2022, the makers said that the film’s shooting is in the final stage.
The technical crew of the film includes Sounder Rajan as the cinematographer and Tammiraju as the editor, with Ghibran composing its music.
