Thalapathy Vijay starrer Beast after having been released in theatres is now all set to appear on the digital screens. Ahead of the theatrical release, the film had made much hype among the south Indian cinephiles through the posters, songs, teaser, and trailer so much so that the film still holds the number 5 position in the IMDb’s most anticipated Indian movies of 2022.
The film has the record for most viewed and liked trailers not only in the Kollywood cinema but in the whole south Indian cinema, within a day the film fetched 29.08 million (over 2.9 crore views) and received 2.22 million (around 22 lakh likes).
However, the film opened with mixed to negative reviews from the critics, they panned the film’s story calling it predictable, and the poor screenplay while they praised the performance of the main lead, songs, and direction of the film.
Beast Netflix Release Date
Vijay starrer after the theatrical release is now gearing up for the digital premiere, as we know the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film had been acquired by the OTT platforms SUN Nxt and Netflix.
While the film will be released in south Indian languages on SUN Nxt, it will be streamed on Netflix in all languages including Hindi on May 11th.

Beast Budget
Beast marks the 65th film of the Thalapathy Vijay, hence it was earlier tentatively called Thalapathy 65. The film was made with a budget of around Rs 150 crores. Vijay starrer did the worldwide pre-release business of Rs 125 crores.
Beast Box Office
While Beast begins with a staggering opening of over Rs 80 crores at the box office worldwide, the film faced the heat of the poor words of mouth from the very second day and saw a downward trend further. In the 12-day theatrical run, the film has accumulated around Rs 218 crores gross.
But failed to cross the breakeven mark of Rs 245 Cr, with total shares of Rs 111.07 crores the film has faced a loss of over Rs 130 crores.

Beast is helmed and written by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran under his banner Sun Pictures, the technical department includes Anirudh Ravichander as a music composer, Manoj Paramahamsa was onboard for the cinematography and the editor was R. Nirmal. The film has a runtime of 156 minutes ( 2hr 36min).
