Kartikeya Gommakonda is a young talent in Tollywood who has impressed audiences with his excellent performance in movies like RX 100, Nani’s Gang Leader, and Tamil blockbuster, Valimai.
The actor’s next project is titled ‘Bedurulanka 2012’, directed by Clax who is known for working as an assistant director in the 2017 action thriller film Keshav with director Sudheer Varma.
Touted-to-be a comedy-drama, Bedurulanka 2012 has some inspiration from the 1954 Japanese film Seven Samurai, which has been ranked highly in critics’ lists of the greatest film in cinema history.

On Nov 30, 2022, Kartikeya shared the promising and intriguing first-look motion poster of the film which grabbed the attention of the netizens. The motion poster video starts with the tagline “The biggest hoax ever played” and then features a giant clock, and we can also hear a clock-ticking sound in the background.
Further, we see two rings being flipped in the air, and the very next scene features Kartikeya in a jaw-dropping look, flexing his muscles in a black sleeveless jacket.
Bedurulanka 2012 Star Cast
Along with Kartikeya, who is playing the lead role, the film also features young actress Neha Shetty of “DJ Tillu” fame. She has also appeared in movies like Mungaru Male 2, Mehbooba, Gully Rowdy, etc.
The supporting star cast includes Ajay Ghosh, Satya, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Srikanth Ayyendar, Ram Prasad, Goparaju Ramana, LB Sriram, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Kittayya, Anithanath, and Divya Nari, among others.
Bedurulanka 2012 Teaser
Makers dropped the teaser on Feb 10, 2023, at 5 PM. It was launched by Liger actor Vijay Deverakonda digitally.
Going by the teaser, the story is set in Godavari village in which Kartikeya Gummakonda plays a muscular man with a devil-may-care attitude. Critics have praised the visuals and the background score which is done by Sai Prakash Ummadisingu & Sunny Kurapati and Mani Sharma, respectively.
Bedurulanka 2012 Release Date
Although, there is no official announcement by the makers regarding its release date even after the teaser release, as per some reports, the film will be released in March 2023.
About the Film
The film is produced by Ravindra Banerjee Muppaneni under the Lousy Entertainments banner, the production house that also backed Color Photo, which won Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 68th National Film Awards.
The technical crew consists of Mani Sharma as music composer, editing by Viplav Nyasadam, and cinematography by Sunny Kurapati. Avaneedra Upadrasta and Vikas Gunnala have served as co-producers. The lyrics in the songs are penned by Sirivennela Seetharamashastry, Kitty Vissapragada, and Krishna Chaitanya.
